Fear of nudity: A persistent or abnormal fear of nudity, known as gymnophobia. There are tons of individuals throughout the world that are dealing with gymnophobia and no one is quite sure as to why they have the fear. Individuals who are suffering from this fear go through anxiety, even though they realize that the fear is not rational. The fear they have could come from anxiety that has to do with sexuality. They may have a fear that their bodies are inferior or fear that their nudeness leaves not only their bodies, but their personalities exposed.
