The Ten Minute Fast Phobia Cure
The ten minute phobia cure is delivered on a regular CD through the post.
When you place your order, you'll get an email confirmation which tells you that it will take between a few days and a week for the CD to arrive, depending on where you live in the world.
You also get a download link to the audio version of a book called The 18 Rules of Happiness.
The CD itself has 4 separate tracks, the second of which is the cure itself.
Track 1 is an introduction to phobias. It's a good, clear explanation of how phobias can occur. In a nutshell, phobias are a "learned response" to a situation that you've met in the past. Much the same as you learn things in a classroom.
The CD then goes on to explain that what you need to do is change your reaction.
At this point, you're probably thinking "I've tried that but it doesn't work." Which is true to a large extent - these learned responses are very much like your own built-in survival mechanism. What the ten minute cure promises is a method to change how you react at the same level as your current reaction happens. So that next time something happens that would normally set off the chain reaction that leads to your phobia, you'll react differently.
For instance, you don't have to think every time you need to take a breath - you breathe air in and out automatically.
The same goes for your phobias - you see the spider (or clown or airplane or whatever) and instinctively start to react the same way as you've reacted the last umpteen times you met the same problem.
Even if - in the cold light of day - your reaction isn't the one that you want to happen. By the time you realize that you're just reacting out of habit, it's too late and your phobia is in control of you. Again.
After the introduction to phobias, the CD goes on to explain a bit about "Neuro Linguistic Programming" (NLP for short). This is the methodology that's used in the ten minute cure.
The explanation is short and sweet.
If you're the kind of person who needs to know why things work, this is a good thing to listen to. If you don't really care why things work (for instance, if you just expect your phone to connect you anywhere in the country at the touch of a few buttons) then you can safely skip this part!
Next up is an explanation of the actual technique that the 10 Minute Cure uses. This is called "The Rewind Technique" and again, there's a succinct explanation of the technique and why it works so well.
If you've ever gone to a psychiatrist to cure your phobia, they may have taken you back to the time when you first experienced the phobia. Reliving this can be an unpleasant experience. The good news about the Rewind Technique is that it works without you reliving the whole problem that caused your phobia in the first place.
Track 2 is the actual ten minute cure track. So if you're in a hurry, go straight to this track.
Oddly for a program called the Ten Minute Cure, you're told to set aside fifteen minutes to listen to the main track.
Whilst this sounds slightly peculiar, it does make sense.
The track is 15 minutes long because it explains the steps you're taking in detail. If you've got several phobias to clear up then you'll almost certainly be able to go through the process in around the ten minutes stated. Either way, it's quicker than several hours with your local shrink.
If you've ever listened to any self hypnosis MP3s, you'll know the format of the track. You're guided into a relaxed state and reassured that you're not in any danger.
You're then taken slowly through the ten minute cure itself.
This is done in a very relaxing voice and you're talked through everything in plenty of detail. All you need to do is follow the instructions you're given. They're clear and precise.
There's a good chance that on the third or fourth "rewind" you'll start smiling. This is an extra signal that will tell you that the cure is starting to work its magic.
Finally, you're brought back out of your trance and into the real world, with some final reassurances to make sure that your phobia is now a thing of the past.
The first half of track 3 reinforces what happened to you during the main ten minute cure session. It's worth listening to, at least the first few times you use the cure. The second half of the track is an advertisement for other self help and personal development sites in the same network
Track 4 also acts as a reinforcement for the cure process as well as being a reminder that the process works regardless of the phobia you're trying to cure.
The Ten Minute Phobia Cure does exactly what it says it will do.
I've trained in NLP and it's almost exactly the same wording we were taught.
And it works!
The technique is simple and effective. I've used it in personal sessions with people and they've got rid of fears and phobias that have held them back for a lifetime in the space of a few minutes.
You could pay a local NLP therapist to get rid of your phobia - you'd likely get identical results from this. But the ten minute cure is cheaper and has the extra benefit that you can play it as often as you like without any extra cost.
